What is a Conic Section?
Conic section is defined as the intersection of plane and double right circular cone. The intersection provides Circle, Parabola, Ellipse and Hyperbola, where circle is the special case of the conic section. There are different properties of the conic section that we discuss is: vertices, directrix, major and minor axis, eccentricity, center, foci, and length of latus rectum. All the conics such as Circle, Parabola, Ellipse and Hyperbola have both standard form as well as general form. Learn how to define equations Circle, Parabola, Ellipse and Hyperbola and also how to write different properties of the conic sections.
