What is Trigonometry?

Trigonometry is the study of the relationship between length of sides and angles of the triangles.
If we find the ratio of any two sides of the triangles, we will get one of the trigonometric ratios
such as sine, cosine, tan, cosec, sec and cot.
The different ancient civilization has used the trigonometry in their study of mathematics, especially
in relation with geometry.
Triangles are not always right but the idea of right triangles created the opportunity to study
their unique properties, which connected the ratio of length of the sides of the triangles
with the angles of the triangle.
